The Web 2.0 is nothing more than the shift from a read only internet to a read/write internet. The Web's users are adding their own content to the internet. It's not just the written word- pictures, photos, music and videos are being created.
Look at the success of social sites like My Space and Face Book with young people. A third of teenagers
have their own web page.
They are mostly unaware of copyright issues. If the content is out there, they will mash it up to create something of their own.
Can they cite their sources?
Are they aware of their digital footprints?
We can teach them.
